
Kamdy-cha
Description
A tasty appetizer for any gathering. "Kamdi-cha" is very popular in Korea, and everyone makes it to their own taste. This salad can be made very spicy with hot red chili pepper added; you can add soy sauce or make it without; you can heat vegetable oil and toast sesame seeds in it; you can add fried pork. But the main highlight remains slightly undercooked potatoes. With this cooking method, the potatoes retain all their nutrients and are well absorbed by the body. Serve the appetizer at the table.

Prepare the necessary ingredients.

Peel the potatoes and place them in water. Shred on a Korean carrot grater. Grate straight into cold water with vinegar added. Set aside for a while. In this water the potatoes will not darken, excess starch will be removed, and they will not turn mushy when boiled. Meanwhile, put a pot of water on the stove and bring to a boil.

Drop the potatoes into boiling water for 2–3 minutes, then drain in a colander. The potatoes should not overcook and turn soft. They will be slightly crunchy.

Peel and mince the onion and garlic.

Pour the oil into the skillet and heat it. Add the chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.

Place the potatoes in a bowl. Add garlic, pepper, heated oil with onion, soy sauce, and mix.
