
Camembert with Garlic and Rosemary in the Oven
Description
Perfect for both special occasions and everyday meals. You can treat your loved ones to a true French evening by baking Camembert cheese in the oven with bread slices. No one will turn down such a treat, especially if you serve it with a glass of chilled white wine. The appetizer is ready. Serve immediately.

Prepare the listed ingredients. Bread slices are optional — add them or leave them out, as you prefer. The type of bread doesn't matter much.

Remove the foil from the cheese wheel. Score the top with lengthwise and crosswise strips, without cutting all the way to the sides. If you cut through, the cheese will leak into the pan while baking. Peel the garlic cloves, rinse them, and slice them. Insert the slices into the cuts and sprinkle with dried rosemary. Fresh rosemary may be used if desired.

Preheat the oven to 200°C. Place the cheese in a baking dish. Add the bread slices to the same dish and drizzle everything with vegetable oil.

Bake for approximately 5–8 minutes, depending on your oven’s heat. Remove the pan when the center of the cheese has melted.

Serve the hot cheese directly in the mold at the table, dipping bread croutons into its center.
