1. If you want your squid to be tender, boil them for no more than three minutes, and it's best to add them to boiling salted water. Keep this in mind, otherwise the seafood will become tough. Preparing squid in sour cream sauce at home requires minimal cooking skills and a willingness to cook.

2. Cool the squid and only then slice them. It's best to cut them into thin strips.

3. Dredge the squid in flour and place them in a heated pan with vegetable oil. Fry for no more than five minutes over medium heat. At the very end, I recommend adding 2 tablespoons of butter and sour cream. For 4 squid bodies, I used 200 grams of sour cream with 15% fat content.

4. Squid are simmered in sour cream for several minutes. It is at this point that they can be seasoned with pepper, then transferred to a special dish with high sides once cooked. Serve squid with mashed potatoes or rice. They also go well with fresh vegetables.
