
Calamari Rings in Batter
Description

The dish turns out delicious and works well for get-togethers with friends, or for lunch or dinner if you serve the squid with a side. Be sure to make a tasty sauce for the squid—at least the simplest one (mix sour cream with garlic and spices). Here you go. The appetizer is ready. Serve right away.

Clean the squid, wash them, and slice into rings about 1 cm wide.

Cut the lemon into small cubes and press lightly.

Transfer the lemon to a small bowl, add minced garlic and a pinch of salt.

And marinate the squid rings in a lemon and garlic mixture for 20 minutes.

For the batter, mix mineral water, egg, a pinch of salt, and dried herbs. Whisk and mix everything.

Add the flour and mix thoroughly until there are no lumps. You get a relatively thin batter.

Remove the squid from the marinade, place them on a paper towel, and let them dry slightly.
