Grilled squid on the barbecue
Description
It's best to choose medium-sized squid, preferably chilled rather than frozen. As a filling, you can use feta, suluguni, or any other cheese. You can also add herbs, which makes it incredibly delicious. Serve this dish on salad leaves with fresh vegetables.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1
Carefully wash the squid body, turning it inside out. Try not to tear it on the sides.
- 2
Step 2
Prepare the marinade. To do this, squeeze garlic into the olive oil, finely chop the marjoram leaves, add salt and pepper. Mix well.
- 3
Step 3
Place the squid in a container and pour the marinade over them. Leave in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours, turning them several times during this period.
- 4
Step 4
Before cooking, stuff the squid with cheese and secure the base of the bodies with toothpicks.
- 5
Step 5
It's better to grill squid on a grill. Grease the grill with oil so the squid doesn't stick during cooking. Use low heat, and cook the squid for 4–6 minutes on each side.

Step 6
Before serving, cut the lemon into wedges to squeeze the lemon juice over the finished dish.
