Kalalaatikko
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. The name comes from two words: fish (kala) and box (laatikko). The reason is that the dish used to be baked in rectangular pans. Kalalaatikko is very simple to make. The taste of the baked herring is no different from regular ocean fish. It's filling, calorie-rich, and delicious. The finished dish can be served at the table.
