Description
The traditional shape for kalaches is a circle; semicircles, resembling crescents, are also found. They are served cooled. You can decorate the baked goods with poppy seeds, sesame seeds, or sunflower seeds. They can be served with tea or coffee.

1. Pour warmed milk into a bowl, add granulated sugar, and dissolve the yeast in it. Let it sit for 15 minutes until a foamy layer forms on top.

2. Add eggs, flour, salt, and 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil to the yeast mixture.

3. Knead a soft and elastic dough.

4. Divide the resulting dough into 3 equal parts.

5. From each part, separate one small piece.

6. Roll three large pieces into thin sausages, then braid them into a braid.

7. Combine the small pieces of dough into one, then roll them into a single rope. Place the braid made from the large pieces in a circle and wrap it with the thin rope of dough.

8. Grease the baking pan with the remaining vegetable oil, place the roll on it, brush it with egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds, let the dough rise for 60-90 minutes.

9. Bake the roll in a preheated oven at 180 degrees until done (about 45 minutes). Eat the roll after it has cooled down.
