Zucchini in batter with minced meat, home-style
Description
The recipe won't take much time. At the peak of zucchini season, they are added to all sorts of dishes. So I decided to make zucchini patties, but instead of adding them to the mince, I used them as a casing for the patties. The result was very original and delicious. Serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. If you are using a young zucchini, you can leave the skin on, but if the zucchini is not young and has thick, tough skin, it's better to peel it.
- 2
Step 2

Cut the zucchini into rounds about 8-10 mm thick.
- 3
Step 3

Using a metal cutter or a regular glass, make holes in each circle to create a "bagel."
- 4
Step 4

Mix the ground meat with chopped onion, salt, and pepper. Mix well. Fill the zucchinis with the meat mixture, pressing it down firmly so the filling doesn't fall out during frying.
- 5
Step 5

Prepare the batter. To do this, mix the egg, flour, and milk. Slightly season with salt and pepper. Whisk the batter with a hand whisk until it becomes as smooth and uniform as possible.
- 6
Step 6

Dip the zucchini with filling into the batter and place them in a pan with heated vegetable oil. Fry over low heat on both sides until the filling is cooked, the zucchini is tender, and a golden crust forms.
- 7
Step 7

Zucchini with minced meat in batter, homemade style, are ready.
- 8
Step 8

Serve the dish with any sauce, but tomato sauces work best.
