Chinese-style zucchini
Description
The recipe won't take much time. I tried making zucchini using this recipe and was pleased, as were my family members. The taste of homemade Chinese-style zucchini resembles marinated mushrooms, but the sesame and soy sauce add a special piquancy. Serve hot.

Step 1

1. We start preparing the zucchini by preparing the vegetables. I always use a young zucchini for this dish, wash it, and cut it into thin strips lengthwise. If you consider using a Korean grater for shredding it—I don't recommend it, it won't turn out the same at all. It's better to do it manually with a knife.

Step 2

2. Fry the zucchini in vegetable oil, adding salt, pepper, garlic, and soy sauce. Keep the heat low and don't forget to stir constantly.

Step 3

3. Stir gently so the strips don't lose their shape. Fry the zucchini until lightly golden, then add the peas at the end.

Step 4

4. The finished dish can be sprinkled with sesame seeds (optional) and herbs. I always do this, as both sesame and herbs add a special, piquant flavor.

Step 5

5. If you feel it needs more salt, you can season to taste, but soy sauce provides enough flavor, so I don't use any additional spices. You can enjoy Chinese-style zucchini at home either hot or cold.
