Agar-agar jelly

Description

The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. First of all, I'm happy to tell you that the recipe for making jelly with agar-agar is almost identical to the method used with gelatin. So why have we chosen agar-agar specifically? The answer is very simple: in some ways, it surpasses gelatin in quality. Personally, my main reason is that agar-agar has no unpleasant odor or taste. But that's not all—agar is entirely plant-based (meaning it can be used during fasting periods), and it consists mainly of dietary fiber, thus effectively helping to remove toxins from the body. And if you think that's where we'll stop, you're greatly mistaken: agar-agar sets much faster than gelatin and doesn't melt at room temperature. I don't know about you, but I couldn't resist such a strong list of advantages, and I've started using this excellent gelatin substitute. Now I'd like to share with you a simple recipe for agar-agar jelly using fresh fruits and juice. The finished dessert is ready to be served.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

First of all, we pour a small amount of cold juice over the agar-agar and leave it to swell.

  2. 2

    Step 2

    Step 2

This process takes several hours, so it's best to leave it overnight.

  3. 3

    Step 3

    Step 3

Now take one of the remaining juices (in our case, orange), pour it into a saucepan and place over heat. When the juice comes to a boil, add the swollen agar and bring to a boil again, stirring well, and cook until the agar is completely dissolved.

  4. 4

    Step 4

    Step 4

Slice our fruits beautifully. You can use absolutely any fruits you prefer.

  5. 5

    Step 5

    Step 5

Now pour the juice with agar into molds and place the cut fruits (in my case, orange) into it.

  6. 6

    Step 6

    Step 6

Leave the jelly for a few minutes to cool slightly, then place it in the refrigerator.

  7. 7

    Step 7

    Step 7

Now repeat the same procedure with the next juice: boil, add agar, and boil again. Then carefully pour the second layer of jelly using a spoon.

  8. 8

    Step 8

    Step 8

    Again, add the fruits.

  9. 9

    Step 9

    Step 9

Again, let it cool significantly and place in the refrigerator. Generally, agar needs only half an hour to set completely.

  10. 10

    Step 10

    Step 10

And now the third layer. You already know the preparation process.

  11. 11

    Step 11

    Step 11

As you may have noticed, there's absolutely nothing complicated here; the main thing is to boil the agar thoroughly, then it will set better. And this is the lovely result we end up with.
