Multilayered Jelly

Description

To make layered jelly, you'll need patience and a refrigerator. You can pour the jelly in colorful layers, or alternate layers of one color with milky white ones. The result is a beautiful mosaic filled with color and flavor. The mold you use to pour the jelly layers into is also important. You can make an entire jelly cake, for example, by pouring it into a muffin or loaf pan. Or you can divide it into glasses and add cherries on top. In short, the possibilities are endless! Today I'll show you

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Boil the water; we will need boiling water to dissolve the jelly.

  2. 2

    Step 2

    Step 2

Dissolve the red jelly. Usually, instructions are provided on the package, but most often 1 packet (90 g) is mixed with 200 ml of hot water. The contents of the packet should be poured into the water, stirring constantly until completely dissolved.

  3. 3

    Step 3

    Step 3

Similarly, dissolve the green jelly and let both types of jelly cool slightly at room temperature.

  4. 4

    Step 4

    Step 4

Dissolve the gelatin in warm water, leave for 15 minutes to let it swell.

  5. 5

    Step 5

    Step 5

Add condensed milk to the gelatin and mix well.

  6. 6

    Step 6

    Step 6

To create beautifully shaped individual portions of jelly, take several small identical bowls. Line their insides with plastic wrap so that the jelly can be easily removed. Another method is to briefly dip the bowl with set jelly into hot water—it also works. But this time I decided to go with the plastic wrap option.

  7. 7

    Step 7

    Step 7

Pour a small amount of green jelly into each bowl to create a layer about 5-7 mm high (up to 1 cm). Place in the freezer for 10-15 minutes to let the jelly set slightly. Then pour the red jelly in an approximately equal layer. Return to the refrigerator for 15 minutes.

  8. 8

    Step 8

    Step 8

Now make a layer of condensed milk jelly. I recommend making this layer slightly thinner—it will look more beautiful. By the way, you can add the white layer after each colored layer, whichever you prefer. Place it back in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.

  9. 9

    Step 9

    Step 9

Repeat all the previous layers. Pour the layer of green jelly and refrigerate. The thickness of this layer should be the same as the previous green one.

  10. 10

    Step 10

    Step 10

Make a layer of red jelly and put it in the refrigerator. Finally, add the last layer—condensed milk jelly. Now refrigerate for at least 2 hours, until the jelly sets properly and becomes a solid whole.

  11. 11

    Step 11

    Step 11

Turn the finished jelly onto a plate or dessert dish, carefully remove the bowl first, then the plastic wrap—it will come off easily. As you can see, jelly offers a wide variety of preparation, shaping, and serving options. Experiment and enjoy both the process and the result!
