Description

This is a perfect dessert for holidays or everyday enjoyment, easy enough for any home cook. It's made with just 2-3 ingredients that are always available at any store. You can use any juice for this dessert—adjust the sweetness to your taste or omit sugar altogether. Use any type of gelatin, but follow the preparation instructions on the package. You can also use natural store-bought juice, preferably without added sugar. The jelly will delight everyone with its vibrant colors and natural flavor. This treat will become the true star of any table.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients for making jelly from juice.

  2. 2

    Step 2

    Step 2

The first layer is orange. For this, pour orange juice into a bowl and add the gelatin.

  3. 3

    Step 3

    Step 3

Add sugar to the bowl, mix and let it stand for 40–60 minutes to allow the gelatin to swell. My gelatin does not require soaking, so I skip this step. But follow the instructions specific to your type of gelatin.

  4. 4

    Step 4

    Step 4

Dissolve the gelatin and sugar using any convenient method. Pour the jelly mixture into ramekins or glasses and place in a cold spot for about 15–20 minutes, until the layer sets and becomes firmer.

  5. 5

    Step 5

    Step 5

While the first layer is setting, immediately prepare the second one. Pour berry juice—mine is forest berries—into a bowl and add gelatin and sugar. If your gelatin requires time to bloom, combine all the juice types with the gelatin at the same time.

  6. 6

    Step 6

    Step 6

Mix well to avoid lumps, then dissolve the gelatin with sugar using a double boiler or any convenient method. Let it cool, then pour over the yellow layer in the dessert glasses. Refrigerate until set.

  7. 7

    Step 7

    Step 7

Do the same with the apple layer.

  8. 8

    Step 8

    Step 8

Dissolve the apple mixture, cool it, and pour it into the dessert glasses. Refrigerate for 3–4 hours to allow the jelly to set completely.
