Persimmon jelly
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Persimmon jelly is very easy to make. Puree the peeled persimmon, then add gelatin dissolved in water. Warm it slightly, then pour into molds or small cups. Place in the refrigerator until set. Persimmon is naturally sweet, so you can even skip the honey. If you'd like to shape the jelly like a persimmon, place food wrap into the cups with the edges hanging over. Pour in the cooled mixture of persimmon, gelatin, and honey. Then gather the edges of the plastic wrap to form a ball inside the cup. Once set, remove the jelly from the wrap, insert a sprig of fresh mint, and serve the chilled "persimmon" dessert. The finished dessert is ready to be served.
