Homemade-style soy stew
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. 1. Soak the soy meat in warm water for 20 minutes. The water should completely cover the meat. 2. Peel the potatoes, cut them into large pieces, and place them in a pot. Boil in boiling water for 5–7 minutes until half-cooked. 3. Peel the onion and carrot, then dice them. Remove the seeds from the pepper and cut it into large pieces. Sauté the onion and carrot in vegetable oil on a heated frying pan for 3 minutes. Then add the pepper and cook for another 2 minutes. 4. Fry the soy meat on a hot frying pan, stirring constantly, until a golden crust forms. This will take about 4–5 minutes. 5. Finely chop the peeled garlic. Wash the parsley and chop it finely. Mix the garlic, parsley, and sour cream. If desired, sour cream can be replaced with mayonnaise. 6. In a casserole dish, first place the fried soy meat, then the potatoes, followed by the sautéed vegetables. Pour the sour cream sauce over the top. Cover the dish with foil and place it in a preheated oven at 200°C for 10 minutes. After that, the soy meat stew is ready to be served immediately. The finished dish can be served at the table.
