Beef Stew
Description
This stew takes quite a while to cook, but there's nothing complicated about it. You just need to know the correct sequence for adding the ingredients. In the end, you'll get an incredibly aromatic dish of healthy vegetables and tender boiled beef in a flavorful red wine sauce. If you like thyme, you can add a sprig or two about 10 minutes before the cooking is finished.

Cut the beef into cubes and sear for 2 minutes in a dry skillet, then add butter and cook until golden brown. Pour wine into the meat and simmer for 3 minutes. Then remove the meat.

Step 3

Pour a little vegetable oil into a saucepan. Add the cleaned whole carrots, onion, and celery to the saucepan and fry over high heat for about 5 minutes. Then add the mushrooms, and after 2 minutes, pour the wine left from the beef over the vegetables.

Step 4

Now place the meat into the pot, add a little water, season with salt and pepper to taste, and simmer for about an hour. Then remove the carrots, onion, and celery, add the potatoes, and simmer for 20 minutes. Finally, add the peas (they can be used frozen) and simmer for another 10 minutes.
