Stew with prunes
Description
You can serve stew with prunes not only as a hot dish but also as a cold one. I especially like sliced pieces of stew with prunes under sauce as an appetizer.
Instructions

Step 1

1. Wash the meat and dry it with a paper towel. In the center of the fillet, cut a thin hole. Stuff the fillet with prunes.

Step 2

2. If you plan to serve chestnuts as a side dish, trim their tips and boil in water for 20 minutes. Sear the meat with prunes in a glass baking dish with oil over medium-high heat, adding bay leaf. Add wine, evaporate the alcohol, then add pepper, salt, and pour in the milk.

Step 3

3. Roast the seared meat in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 90 minutes, periodically basting with the sauce that forms. 20 minutes before the end of cooking, add the chestnuts to the pan with the roast.

Step 4

4. Slice the roast with prunes and serve hot.
