Beef stew with Italian sausages and tomatoes

Description

Heat a large pot over high heat. Cook the beef fillet in three batches until browned. Set aside. Add the sausage, breaking it into small pieces, along with the onion and jalapeño chili. Season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring frequently, until the onion and sausage are browned, about 5 minutes. Return the beef to the pot. Add chili powder, cumin, oregano, tomatoes, cornmeal, cinnamon, bay leaf, and 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 2 hours. Add the beans and cook for approximately 5 minutes. Remove the cinnamon and bay leaf. Let cool slightly and serve.
