Fried Processed Cheese
Description
Golden-brown slices of fried processed cheese can be served as a standalone dish or as an appetizer alongside a side dish. If you bought cheese rounds but they won’t slice cleanly, put them in the freezer for 5 minutes and fry them while still slightly frozen, breading them in flour first.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. Buy processed cheese bars of the "Druzhba" type. Try to choose a product with a firmer texture so it does not fall apart when frying.
- 2
Step 2

Unwrap the cheese curd bars from the foil. Using a knife greased with vegetable oil, cut them into even sticks no more than 0.5–1 cm thick. Pour wheat flour onto a plate, having sifted it first. Dredge the cheese curd pieces in flour on both sides.

Step 3

Heat odorless vegetable oil in a skillet, then reduce the heat to the lowest setting. Place the cheese slices in the pan and fry them for 1–2 minutes on each side.

Step 4

Place the fried processed cheese on a plate and serve hot with sliced vegetables, porridge, pasta, and the like. Don't forget a cup of fragrant tea if you made the dish for breakfast.
