Fried lavash with cheese and tomatoes
Description
The appetizer is prepared quickly and simply. This is another way to make a hot appetizer in which the main ingredient is lavash. You can slightly modify the filling, for example by adding chicken fillet, sausage, suluguni, mushrooms, or other vegetables. You can also experiment with the shape of the appetizer by wrapping the lavash in an unusual envelope fold. I recommend trying to bake such lavash in cream sauce—it should turn out very tasty. The appetizer is ready. Serve immediately.

Step 1

1. First, cut the cheese into thin strips (about 0.3 cm thick). Finely chop the herbs together with the stems. Cut the tomato in half and slice into thin pieces.

Step 2

2. Next, divide the lavash into two parts. On one side along the middle, arrange the sliced cheese, tomatoes, and herbs; season with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 3

3. Next, carefully fold the lavash into an envelope shape so the filling does not fall out during baking. Place the lavash on a rack and bake in an oven preheated to 180°C for 4 minutes on each side.
