Fried bread with garlic
Description

But in reality—how many times have I had to eat bread soaked through, literally dripping with oil, underdone and overdone, dry and falling apart in my hands... Meanwhile, a piece of toasted bread spread with fragrant garlic is a universal appetizer and the base for many different sandwiches. A couple of drops of homemade mayonnaise and a little grated cheese, a slice of fresh tomato or a piece of juicy bacon, a round of hard-boiled egg or a spoonful of zucchini caviar—there are practically no foods in nature that such fried bread would not go with. Step 1

First, let's choose the bread. Ideally, use yesterday's—or even the day-before-yesterday's. It's easier to slice, and trust me, it tastes better when fried! Cut it into slices. The shape is up to you, but the thickness should be 1–1.2 centimeters. That's important! Whether to trim the crust is up to you. I think it's tastier with it ;).

Step 2

Sprinkle the bread slices with salt and spices on both sides.
- 3
Step 3

Pour a little oil into the pan — literally 1–2 tablespoons.
- 4
Step 4

Spread it over the surface of the pan, lay the bread slices on top, and immediately flip them quickly so the butter coats both sides of each slice. Fry over medium-high heat on one side, then the other, until golden brown.
- 5
Step 5

Peel the garlic.
- 6
Step 6

Cut each clove in half and rub the bread on all sides.

Step 7

That's it — garlic fried bread is ready. Now you can build any sandwiches with it or just crunch away with a beer ;). Simplicity is strength...
