Fried green tomatoes in batter
Description
Perfect for the table and with drinks. Not all green tomatoes are suitable for this dish. They should be nearly ripe but still green; that way there will be no bitterness. The water and beer must be very cold; then the batter will turn out crispy, and the leavening agent will keep it from becoming soggy after cooling. Season to taste. The appetizer is ready. Serve immediately.
