Fried pirozhki in a dry skillet
Description
Goes perfectly with tea and coffee. For these pastries, choose a filling that is not too moist so it does not run out during frying. Besides boiled condensed milk, you can use potato with onion or rice with egg.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

To make pies, prepare the necessary ingredients. Sift the flour ahead of time through a sieve to saturate it with oxygen.
- 2
Step 2

Pour warm milk into a bowl and add sugar, salt, and dry yeast. Mix.
- 3
Step 3

Then add the egg and vegetable oil.
- 4
Step 4

Gradually add the flour and knead the dough.
- 5
Step 5

The finished dough is soft, pliable, and does not stick to your hands. Cover the bowl of dough with a towel and leave it in a warm place for 1 hour to let it rise.
- 6
Step 6

The dough has rested and increased in size. You can start shaping the pirozhki.
- 7
Step 7

Cut the dough into pieces. From each piece, shape a flat round and place the filling on it. Pinch the edges closed and form a pastry. Let the pastries rest on the counter for a little while. While you’re shaping the last ones, you can already start frying the first.

Step 8

Fry the pies in a dry skillet. Don’t use high heat, or the dough may start to burn.
- 9
Step 9

Fry the pies on both sides. Gradually they will start to turn golden brown.

Step 10

Serve the finished pies at the table.
