Fried pastries made from cottage cheese dough
Description
The baking is simple and quick. The cottage cheese buns turn out filling, yet easier on the stomach than yeast-based ones. For making fried buns from cottage cheese dough, you can use a sweet fruit or berry filling. But I'd like to show you another option—filling meat buns. I had some meat and a few mushrooms, so I decided they could go perfectly together. Let's take a look at the recipe. Serve them cooled down or slightly warm.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Beat the eggs into the cottage cheese and mix.
- 2
Step 2

Add salt, soda, sugar, and flour. Knead a soft dough.
- 3
Step 3

Cut the meat into small pieces. Finely chop the carrots, mushrooms, and onion as well. Fry everything in vegetable oil. Add salt, nutmeg, and pepper. Cook until done.

Step 4

At the very end, add butter and green onions. Let the filling cool. Divide the dough into small pieces and roll into balls. Flatten each ball into a (not too thin) round. Place a tablespoon of meat filling in the center of each round, and on top of that, add a teaspoon of processed cheese.

Step 5

Shape the buns, then fry them in oil over low heat until golden brown.

Step 6

These fried dumplings made from cottage cheese dough turned out to be golden brown, hearty, and delicious.
