Fried butter mushrooms with potatoes
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Boletus mushrooms are versatile—you can salt them, marinate them, make soups or main courses. But they are especially delicious when combined with fried potatoes. They're simply made for each other, and no one will refuse this dish. If you don't like onions, just skip adding them to the pan, but their sweetness complements the mushrooms well. Serve the fried boletus mushrooms with potatoes straight from the stove while they're hot and crispy, along with your favorite sauces and pickles. The ready dish can now be served at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients for frying boletus mushrooms with potatoes. Sort through the fresh boletus mushrooms, removing any worm-eaten or spoiled ones. Peel the onions and potatoes, then rinse them.
- 2
Step 2

Peel the top skin off the boletus mushrooms, rinse them, and let all the water drain completely.
- 3
Step 3

Cut the boletus mushrooms into small pieces, or leave them whole if very small. Pour one tablespoon of vegetable oil into a frying pan and add the mushrooms. Fry over medium heat for 7–10 minutes until the liquid has evaporated, stirring occasionally.

Step 4

Finely chop the onion and add it to the pan with the boletus mushrooms. Fry the mushrooms with the onion, stirring, until the onion becomes soft, about 4-5 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat.

Step 5

While the boletus mushrooms are frying, prepare the potatoes in another skillet. Pour the remaining oil into a separate skillet and heat over medium heat. Cut the potatoes into wedges and place them in the skillet, frying until cooked through and golden brown. This will take about 7–10 minutes.

Step 6

Add the boletus mushrooms to the fried potatoes, season with salt and pepper, and mix well. Sauté for another 2-3 minutes over medium heat, then serve.
