Fried chicken legs
Description
A simple and versatile way to cook chicken in a skillet. I'm using chicken legs (with the thigh), but you can use any other chicken parts as well. You can choose any spices to your taste, but this particular marinade is perfect for the recipe. It makes the chicken incredibly tender, falling right off the bone—so delicious! I highly recommend giving it a try and tasting for yourself.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients from the list. Thaw the chicken legs in advance on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator, then rinse and pat dry.
- 2
Step 2

Make several deep cuts with a knife on each drumstick.
- 3
Step 3

Transfer the chicken to a deep bowl, add salt, spices, and all the marinade ingredients.
- 4
Step 4

Mix thoroughly so that the marinade spreads evenly and gets into the cuts. Let it marinate for 30 minutes. You can also leave it overnight. If you have no time at all, proceed to cooking immediately.
- 5
Step 5

Heat a skillet with oil and place the legs skin-side down.
- 6
Step 6

Sear over high heat until a golden-brown crust forms, to seal in all the juices inside. Flip and sear the other side in the same manner.
- 7
Step 7

Then flip the legs again, cover with a lid, turn the heat to the lowest setting, and cook for 10-15 minutes. You can add 30-50 ml of hot water to create steam.
- 8
Step 8

Flip again and cook under the lid over the lowest heat for another 10-15 minutes. If you've added water, do not add any more. The legs will basically cook in their own juice.
- 9
Step 9

At the very end, flip the drumsticks once again and add diced garlic for flavor. Let it simmer under the lid for another 5 minutes or so, then remove from heat.
- 10
Step 10

Fried chicken legs are ready.
- 11
Step 11

Serve immediately to the table.
