Fried meatballs
Description
The recipe won't take much time. You'll laugh, but the first time I tried fried meatballs prepared this way was in Tirana, the capital of Albania :) There, they also include mint and feta cheese in the mixture, but that flavor is too exotic for us, so I didn't include any extra ingredients in my version of fried meatballs. You can skip the cheese as well, but in my opinion, they're tastier and juicier with it. Overall, the meatballs turn out excellent—crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside :) Serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Soak the bread in water until it becomes very soft, then squeeze out the excess liquid.
- 2
Step 2

In a bowl, mix the ground meat, soaked bread crumbs, grated cheese (you can omit it, but I really like it, so I add it), chopped onion, and spices.

Step 3

From the resulting mixture, form round meatballs. Roll each meatball in flour.

Step 4

In a frying pan, heat a glass of oil. Place the meatballs into the hot oil. Fry until a crispy crust forms, then remove from the oil. If desired, blot excess fat with a paper towel, then serve. Fried meatballs are ready!
