
Fried liver with onions
Description
The recipe won't take much time. You'll need beef, duck, turkey, or chicken liver. I'll be using beef liver. Pork liver is not suitable for frying; it's better suited for pâtés. Serve hot.

1. Prepare the ingredients. Peel the onion. Soak the liver in cold water for an hour. Drain and dry. Remove the membranes.

2. Slice the onion into not too thin half-rings.

3. Cut the liver into pieces no thicker than 0.5-0.7 mm. Season with salt.

4. Coat each piece in flour.

6. Heat oil in a preheated skillet, add the liver pieces and top with onions. Cover with a lid and fry over medium heat for 5 minutes.

7. Flip the liver and onions with forks. Fry under the lid for another 5 minutes. Check for doneness.

8. Transfer the cooked liver with onions to a plate and garnish with fresh herbs. Enjoy!
