
Fried potatoes with pork belly
Description
Fried potatoes will be twice as delicious if cooked with pork belly. Pork belly is a meaty cut with layers of fat, and potatoes fried on it turn out absolutely perfect.

Prepare all the ingredients.

Cut the pork belly into medium pieces.

Sear the bacon pieces for 5–8 minutes over medium heat until golden brown. It's also important to render the fat, which we'll use to fry the potatoes. No additional oil will be needed. The bacon should have streaks of fat. Season the bacon with salt and pepper.

Peel the onion and slice it into half-rings.

Add onion to the fried bacon.

Sauté everything together for a couple of minutes.

Peel the potatoes and cut them into strips.

Add the potatoes to the frying pan.

Fry the potatoes with bacon for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season the potatoes to taste with salt.
