Fried cabbage with meat
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. I cook fried cabbage with meat very often—it's one of my favorite budget-friendly dishes, because meat isn't the main ingredient here, and you can use just a small amount, as the cabbage provides the main flavor! Give it a try! See, the finished dish is ready to be served.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Cut the pork into small pieces and place in a frying pan with heated vegetable oil. Fry until lightly browned.
- 3
Step 3

While the meat is frying, finely chop the onion and grate the carrot on a fine grater.
- 4
Step 4

Finely chop the cabbage with a knife or use a special cabbage shredder.
- 5
Step 5

Add the onion and carrot to the fried meat and sauté for a minute until the onion and carrot become slightly soft.
- 6
Step 6

Then add the cabbage, mix well, cover the pan with a lid, and cook for 15 minutes (until the cabbage is tender). The required time may vary depending on the type of cabbage.
- 7
Step 7

Add tomato paste, salt, and pepper to the pan, pour in half a cup of water, mix, cover with a lid again, and simmer until done.
- 8
Step 8

Don't forget to stir occasionally so the cabbage doesn't stick to the pan.

Step 9

The dish is ready! Enjoy your meal!
