Spanish tomato sauce

Description

Minimum ingredients — excellent result. If desired, when preparing the sauce, you can add ground chili pepper or a whole chili pepper pod, removing it after cooking to prevent the dish from becoming overly spicy. If the sauce tastes too bitter, it's better to let it cool. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

    Prepare the listed ingredients.

    Lower the tomatoes into boiling water for 5 minutes, then remove the skin and grate them on a coarse grater.

    Peel the onion and garlic and rinse them in water, then chop into small cubes. Heat vegetable oil, preferably olive oil, in a cauldron and add both chopped ingredients to the pot. Sauté over medium heat for about 2–4 minutes.
