
Spanish Sweet Toasts

They also come in handy when the family wants something sweet and baked, but you don't feel like messing with dough :) This treat is perfect for children with a sweet tooth. 1. First, warm the milk and add the zest of half a lemon.

2. Then add the cinnamon and simmer over low heat for 5 minutes. Don't let the milk boil.

3. Lightly beat the eggs in a separate bowl.

4. Dip the halved toast bread pieces first in the milk mixture, then in the egg. (You can mix the egg and milk together.)

5. Heat a skillet with 1 teaspoon of butter and toast the bread.

6. Place the finished toasts on a paper towel and let them cool slightly.

7. While the toasts are cooling, melt the chocolate with 2 tablespoons of milk and 1 teaspoon of butter.

8. Place the toasts on parchment and spread half of each with chocolate. Sprinkle the chocolate half with shredded coconut and the half without chocolate with powdered sugar.
