Spanish buns
Description
Perfect for serving with tea and coffee. The best thing about these buns is that you can prepare them with various fillings. Depending on the filling you choose, the buns will turn out either softer or juicier. Feel free to experiment. I've made what I think is the most delicate cottage cheese filling. Enjoy your tea time with these delicious buns. They can be served with tea or coffee.
Instructions

Step 1

Knead the dough. Sift the flour with yeast. Add salt, sugar, vegetable oil, and water. Knead the dough by hand or with a mixer for about 10 minutes. Then cover with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place for two hours.

Step 2

For the filling, I chose cottage cheese. Mix it with sour cream and add sugar. You can also add a bit of grated lemon zest for extra flavor.
- 3
Step 3

Once the dough has risen, divide it into 4 balls. Roll each one out thinly into a rectangle.

Step 4

Brush the dough with sunflower oil, place the cottage cheese on one side, and roll the dough with the filling into a log. Then, coil the log into a "snail" shape.

Step 5

Place the buns on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Let them rest for about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
- 6
Step 6

After that, bake the buns until done, about 25 minutes. When serving, dust them with powdered sugar.
