Chop the onion and a garlic clove. Cut the beans diagonally, and remove the chickpeas from the can and dry them.

Place the onion and garlic into a large heated skillet with olive oil. Sauté for about 5 minutes, until the ingredients become soft.

Add rice, dried chili pepper, and paprika to the pan. Stir and sauté for another minute, then pour in the broth and add the tomatoes.

Bring the mixture to a boil and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Place the beans, chickpeas, and black pepper in a frying pan. Mix and cook for another 10 minutes over low heat.

Sprinkle the finished dish with lemon juice and garnish with chopped parsley. You can also cut the lemon into wedges and serve them with the dish, so that each person can add lemon juice to taste.
