Yogurt for children
Description
The recipe won't take much time. If you're interested, serve chilled.
Instructions

Step 1

Pour two liters of milk into a saucepan, place it on the stove, and bring it to a boil over low heat so that it doesn't burn or boil over. Add one tablespoon of sugar to the milk. It's better to use homemade, sieved milk. Cool it down to forty degrees.

Step 2

Open the starter culture jar and mix its contents into the milk. You can buy any starter culture at a pharmacy; there are many varieties available. The milk should not be hot, otherwise all the beneficial bacteria will die.
- 3
Step 3

Put a little jam (any kind you like) into the yogurt jars. Do not use fresh berries, as their acidity will cause the milk to curdle during yogurt preparation.
- 4
Step 4

Pour the milk with the starter culture into jars containing jam. If you don't like sweet yogurts or your child has an allergy to jam, you can omit it and add more sugar to the milk for sweetness.

Step 5

Place the jars with milk in a yogurt maker for ten hours. If you don't have such a device, you can leave the yogurt in the oven at the lowest temperature. Some prefer making it in a multicooker, a thermos, or simply near a radiator, wrapping the yogurt in a blanket. Chill the finished product in the refrigerator for a couple of hours and top with jam before serving.
