Turkey in a multicooker
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Why spend ages standing by the stove, worrying about drying out the poultry, when you can cook it in a multicooker? Just place the turkey inside, set the required program, and that's it. There's no need to prepare a separate sauce—you can use the marinade in which the turkey was marinated. Serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1
I put butter into a saucepan or skillet and place it over heat. I wash and roughly chop the onion, carrot, celery stalk, and garlic.
- 2
Step 2
I add the previously prepared vegetables to the melted butter and cook for 8-10 minutes over low heat.
- 3
Step 3
As soon as the onion starts to turn golden, immediately add the flour and stir vigorously to remove lumps. Pour in 1 cup of broth, mix, then season with salt and pepper.
- 4
Step 4
After a couple of minutes, I pour in the remaining broth and water (boiled). I add dried thyme and bay leaf.
- 5
Step 5
I wash the turkey and dry it. I place it in the multicooker and pour the prepared mixture over it. I close the lid, set the "Stewing" or "Cooking" mode, and cook for 5 hours.
- 6
Step 6
I transfer the cooked turkey to a plate and let it cool, covering it with foil to prevent it from drying out.
- 7
Step 7
I strain the resulting sauce from the multivapor bowl through a sieve into a saucepan and place it over heat. I boil for 5 minutes after boiling, remove the top layer of fat, then cook for another 15 minutes. I season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 8
Step 8
I cut the turkey into pieces, place it on a plate, pour the prepared sauce over it, and serve.
