Description

Many delicious dishes can be made from turkey. I'd like to offer you another one, which can easily be prepared either on the stove in your kitchen or over a campfire outdoors. The recipe is very simple, and the ingredients are readily available. Let me tell you how.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

Wash the turkey and cut it into portion pieces.

  2. 2

    Step 2

Rub the salt together with cumin and coriander.

  3. 3

    Step 3

Rub the turkey pieces with the resulting mixture and let the meat marinate for half an hour.

  4. 4

    Step 4

Peel the onion and slice it into rings about 0.5 cm thick.

  5. 5

    Step 5

Place the cauldron on the stove or over the fire, pour oil into it and heat. Put turkey pieces in a single layer into the hot oil, then place sliced onions on top of the meat, followed by another layer of meat and onions.

  6. 6

    Step 6

Cover the cauldron with a lid, reduce the heat to the lowest setting, and simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours.

  7. 7

    Step 7

Pour boiling water over the tomatoes, then peel them. Blend the tomatoes into a puree using a blender.

  8. 8

    Step 8

Peel the garlic, crush it with a garlic press, and add it to the tomato purée. Add finely chopped chili pepper as well.

  9. 9

    Step 9

The turkey has already been stewing for an hour and a half; open the lid of the cauldron, increase the heat to high, and continue frying the meat for 5-7 minutes, stirring constantly.

  10. 10

    Step 10

Add the tomato purée, mix well, cover the pot with a lid, and reduce the heat. Simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring a few times. Now taste the meat. If it's too spicy, add a tablespoon of sugar—it will soften the spiciness of your dish.

  11. 11

    Step 11

Sprinkle with finely chopped fresh herbs before serving. Serve this meat with fresh vegetables. As for the side dish, choose according to your taste.
