Ginger confiture
Description
Ginger is a rather specific but very beneficial product. I suggest a recipe for ginger confiture that even children enjoy eating. Minimal heat treatment preserves the maximum amount of beneficial vitamins. 1. Squeeze juice from the oranges (you can substitute mandarins). Strain if necessary. 2. Squeeze juice from the lemon as well and grate a little zest. 3. Peel the ginger and grate it on a fine grater. 4. In a saucepan, combine the ginger, zest, and citrus juice. Add a little sugar and place over heat. 5. Separately, dissolve the gelatin in warm water. You can also use jam thickener or gelfix. 6. When the ginger comes to a boil, add the gelatin and the remaining sugar. Mix thoroughly and bring to a boil again. 7. When making ginger confiture at home, cook for no more than 3–4 minutes after it comes to a boil. Then you can remove it from the heat and let it cool. This confiture can be packed into jars right away, and after cooling, store it in the refrigerator under a tightly closed lid. Store in a cool, dark place.
