Seaweed Caviar
Description
A tasty appetizer for any gathering. In fact, this kind of product is made from sea kale. Here’s a recipe you can easily repeat at home. Watch and remember. Serve with herbs and sauce.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

The evening before, place the vegetable oil in the freezer overnight.
- 2
Step 2

Peel the beets and carrots, wash them, and grate them separately on a fine grater. Press the grated vegetables well to remove the juice. Do not discard the juices; set them aside.
- 3
Step 3

Soak the agar-agar in 40 ml of water for 10 minutes.
- 4
Step 4

Pour 90 ml of water over the carrots and laminaria. Bring the mixture to a boil. Boil vigorously over high heat for 5 minutes. Then strain, leaving only the liquid.
- 5
Step 5

In a saucepan, combine the carrot juice with the resulting liquid, salt, and dissolved agar-agar. Bring the mixture to a boil while adding the beet juice. Boil everything for 2 minutes.
- 6
Step 6

Pour the broth into the syringe. Take the oil out of the freezer. Drip from the syringe into the oil to form small caviar-like pearls.
- 7
Step 7

Strain the finished caviar through a sieve — and you can taste it. Enjoy!
