Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Gather all the ingredients on the table before starting the preparation.
- 2
Step 2

To prepare the dough, crack the eggs into a spacious bowl and add sugar and salt.
- 3
Step 3

Vigorously mix these ingredients with a whisk until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
- 4
Step 4

Pour in the vegetable oil and milk.
- 5
Step 5

Once again, thoroughly mix everything with a whisk.
- 6
Step 6

Sift all the flour.
- 7
Step 7

Knead a soft dough that does not stick to your hands. You may need a little more flour, so add it gradually as needed to achieve the desired dough consistency.
- 8
Step 8

Then lightly dust the work surface with flour and roll out the dough with a rolling pin into a thin sheet (1-2 mm thick), cut into rectangular strips.
- 9
Step 9

In the center of each dough rectangle, make a small slit and pull one end of the dough strip through the slit, forming a pretzel-like shape for the future fried breadstick, as shown in the photo.

Step 10

In a convenient saucepan, heat a generous amount of vegetable oil over medium heat. Place a batch of the straws into the oil and fry until golden brown. Then, remove the fried straws with a slotted spoon and place them first onto a paper towel to absorb excess oil.

Step 11

Then transfer the fried pastry to a serving plate and sprinkle with powdered sugar to taste.
