Crispy Lavash with Bean Spread

30 min4 serv.21 февр. 2026 г.

Description

It's suitable both for holidays and for everyday meals. I really love all kinds of homemade appetizers and spreads, and crispy lavash with bean spread is one of them. It's essentially very simple to make, yet it turns out very filling, tasty, and nutritious. Agree—it's much better to serve as an appetizer homemade crispy lavash with bean spread than some chips with their accompanying toxic sauce... A great thing, in my opinion. It's worth spending 15–20 minutes of your time on it. The appetizer is ready. Serve immediately.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

Let's start by brushing each lavash (or pita, as in my case) with olive oil using a brush. This is done so that the lavash becomes crispy when baked.

  2. 2

    Step 2

    Step 2

Then cut each lavash into 8 pieces.

  3. 3

    Step 3

    Step 3

Sprinkle the lavash with salt, pepper, and oregano and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (you can simply brush with oil so it doesn’t burn). Put in an oven preheated to 205°C. Bake for 5 minutes, then flip each piece and bake for another 5 minutes.

    Step 4

    Step 4

Into the blender bowl, add the beans (without the liquid), fresh parsley, garlic, salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Pulse briefly, but do not blend until completely smooth.

  5. 5

    Step 5

    Step 5

Then, while continuing to blend at low speed, add olive oil to the mixture. Gradually, the mixture should become smooth and uniform.

  6. 6

    Step 6

    Step 6

Process until the mixture reaches a consistency similar to heavy cream.

  7. 7

    Step 7

    Step 7

Actually, everything is ready to serve. By that time, the lavash or pita triangles will have cooled slightly...

  8. 8

    Step 8

    Step 8

Transfer the bean spread from the blender bowl to a small plate.

  9. 9

    Step 9

    Step 9

Serve the spread with crispy pieces of lavash. ;)
