Crispy chak-chak
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Making chak-chak at home is not difficult at all. Moreover, a small number of ingredients yield a large portion, enough for all family members and guests. To prepare the dough sticks, you can use a special pasta-making machine or simply use a regular knife. Make sure to monitor the frying temperature carefully: the dough should gradually turn golden, not fry instantly. Also, don't forget to shake the dough strips in a sieve to remove excess flour. The ready dessert can now be served.
Instructions

Step 1

1. First, separate the egg whites from the yolks and beat them with a mixer into a foam. Add the yolks to the foam and beat again with the mixer. Then add vodka (you can substitute it with one teaspoon of baking powder and three tablespoons of milk).

Step 2

2. Add a tablespoon of sugar and salt, mix again with a mixer. Then gradually add the sifted flour in portions and knead the dough until it becomes thick enough. Knead the dough thoroughly, then cover it with a damp towel and let it rest for about half an hour.

Step 3

3. Next, roll out the dough to a thickness of about 3-5 mm and cut it into strips (you can use a knife). Place the cut strips into a sieve and shake to remove excess flour.

Step 4

4. Fry the cut dough in a deep fryer heated to the required temperature (about 175 degrees, so that the dough turns golden within 1 minute). Place the cooked sticks on a paper towel.

Step 5

5. Prepare the syrup: mix 150 grams of sugar with honey and place the mixture over heat until the sugar dissolves. Do not boil the sugar mixture, just warm it thoroughly.

Step 6

6. Mix the dough sticks with the syrup and pile them into a mound on plates previously moistened with water (it is also advisable to wet your hands so the mixture doesn't stick).

Step 7

7. Place the ready chak-chak in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
