Hot Dog in a Baguette with Garlic-Cheese Crust
Description
Perfect with meals and drinks. This hot dog recipe wins you over with how easy it is to make, its flavor, and its incredible aroma. You can add garlic to the filling, or you can rub the top of the entire baguette with it. It's best to offer ketchup only when serving; if you add it inside, the baguette may get soggy. Serve with herbs and sauce.

Step 1

Prepare the ingredients. Rinse and dry the dill, and cut the baguette into portion-sized pieces the length of a sausage right away.

Step 2

Lightly hollow out the soft interior from the baguette and insert a sausage inside.

Step 3

Place grated hard cheese, chopped dill, garlic, and a little mayonnaise in a bowl; the mayonnaise should bind the filling.

Step 4

Place the cheese on top of each hot dog and press it down lightly. Transfer the prepared hot dogs to a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 190°C for about 10 minutes on the top/bottom setting. The cheese should melt well, and the sausage inside should heat through.
