Hot dog with ketchup
Description
The recipe won't take much time. 1. Prepare the ketchup: Add olive oil to a heated saucepan. When the oil is hot, add shallots and garlic; cook for 1 to 2 minutes over medium heat. Add plums, sugar, vinegar, ginger, allspice, lemon juice, and red pepper. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Continue cooking over medium heat, stirring frequently, for about 5 minutes. Reduce the heat to a gentle simmer. Stir occasionally. Cook for about 20 minutes. Add lemon juice. Pour the finished ketchup into a jar and chill for 2–3 hours. 2. Set the gas grill to medium heat. Wrap the vegetables in foil and cook for 10–12 minutes. 3. Grill the sausages for about 4 minutes. Toast the buns for 1–2 minutes on each side. 4. Assemble the hot dogs. Top with ketchup. Serve the appetizer.
