Horkhovats should be cooked on coals, once the heat has slightly decreased. Place the vegetables on the grill.

We bake them until they become soft, and 10 minutes before the vegetables are ready, we bury the onion, still in its skin, in the embers.

Remove the vegetables from the grill, and transfer the peppers into a bag, tie it up and let stand for 10 minutes.

After the time has elapsed, remove the peppers and peel off the skin.

Then cut into small cubes.

Do the same with the tomatoes.

Peel the eggplants.

Also cut into cubes.

Chop the fresh herbs and garlic. Peel the onion and finely chop it as well.

Now combine all the ingredients, season with salt and pepper, and mix well. Let the chorvats soak for about 10 minutes, then serve. Enjoy your meal!
