Cold appetizer of chicken hearts in garlic-soy sauce
Description
This is one of the most delicious chicken heart appetizers I have ever made. The whole process is quite quick, especially if you boil the hearts in advance. The appetizer does not require long marinating; it is ready right after you dress it with the sauce. Serve the appetizer.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Peel the onion, garlic, and carrots; rinse them together with the cilantro and pat dry.
- 2
Step 2

Boil the hearts in advance, drain the broth, and let cool. Cook for at least 30 minutes.
- 3
Step 3

Slice the onion into half-moons, grate the carrot into fine strips, and place the vegetables in a deep bowl.
- 4
Step 4

Cut the cooled hearts in half and add them to the vegetables.
- 5
Step 5

In a small saucepan, pour in soy sauce, olive oil, white 6% vinegar, and hot sauce to taste; add minced garlic. Set over low heat and simmer for about a minute. I also add just a little sugar to balance the flavor of the sauce.

Step 6

Pour the boiling sauce into the hearts with vegetables, and immediately add the chopped cilantro.
- 7
Step 7

Thoroughly mix the contents of the bowl for one minute and leave to cool.

Step 8

Place the cold chicken heart appetizer in garlic-soy sauce in a deep bowl and serve immediately.
