Aspic in Molds

Description

The appetizer is quick and easy to make. Many people simply cannot imagine a New Year’s table without this dish. To surprise your family and guests, I suggest making an appetizing and very attractive aspic in molds at home. Silicone molds are the most convenient, but muffin tins will work too. 1. First, take care of the base itself. Clean, wash, and put pig’s trotters on to simmer over low heat. 2. After the water comes to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer for about 2 hours. 3. Prepare the beef, chicken, and, if desired, other meats. Add them to the pot and continue cooking over low heat. 4. Wash and peel the onion and add it to the broth. You can also add carrot if you like. 5. Salt, add a bay leaf and allspice. Keep cooking, skimming off the foam constantly. 6. In total, the process will take at least 5 hours (depending on the ingredients). Then carefully remove the meat and let it cool slightly. 7. Strain the broth several times, cool it to about room temperature, and dissolve the gelatin in it. 8. Prepare the molds and spread a little meat in the bottom of each one. 9. Pour in the broth. For a nicer look, you can place a slice of carrot, a leaf of greens, or a round of hard-boiled egg on the bottom, for example. 10. Carefully pour in the broth and put it in the refrigerator to set. 11. That’s how simple this molded aspic recipe is. Before serving, carefully unmold it and place it on a plate. Attractive, unusual, and most importantly—delicious. Serve with greens and sauce.
