Description

A tasty appetizer for any gathering. Here is a classic recipe for making aspic in a bottle. You can use whatever meat ingredients you have on hand, but I still recommend using trotters, as they produce a rich, flavorful broth. Decorating the aspic and turning it into a cute little pig is a very fun creative process. Give it a try.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

Wash the beef and pork shanks, as well as the chicken, and place them in a large pot; cover with water. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat to the lowest setting, and simmer covered for another 2 hours. Skim off the foam constantly. Then add the washed, peeled vegetables and continue cooking for another 2 hours. About 10 minutes before the meat is done, add pepper and bay leaves; season with salt to taste.

    Step 2

    Step 2

Soak the gelatin in cold water first, then dissolve it over low heat. Strain the broth and mix it with the gelatin; also add minced garlic. Separate the meat from the bones and cut it into small pieces. Carefully push the meat into a 1.5 L plastic bottle and pour in the broth. Place the bottle in the refrigerator for 8 hours to set.

    Step 3

    Step 3

Before serving, using a sharp knife, carefully remove the plastic bottle.

    Step 4

To give the aspic the shape of a little pig, use a bit of imagination and shape the ears, eyes, and snout from whatever you have on hand (vegetables, sausage, olives, etc.).
