
Pork Aspic
Description
This recipe won't take much time. Here is a recipe for making pork aspic, which can optionally be supplemented with beef, chicken legs, or other parts, as well as a wide variety of spices. Gelatin is also used very often, however you can easily do without it. It can be served warm or chilled.

1. Wash the hooves under running water and clean them. Make small incisions with a sharp knife.

2. Place in a pot and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil and simmer over very low heat for about 4 hours.

3. During this time, the hooves should cook through thoroughly.

4. Now add a piece of lean pork, as well as an onion, washed but not peeled. Pour in more water, add salt, a bay leaf, and allspice. You can also add other aromatic spices to the pork aspic recipe.

5. Simmer over low heat for about 2 more hours. Then carefully remove all the ingredients and strain the broth several times.

6. Cut up the meat and mince it.

7. Place the meat at the bottom of the prepared molds and pour strained broth over it. Cover with a lid and, after letting it cool slightly, refrigerate overnight. That’s it — homemade pork aspic is ready. If you like, you can add a couple of parsley leaves or thin carrot slices for decoration, for example.
