Hops Pie

Description

Delicious pastry for the whole family. If you are using one large sponge cake, cut it into 8 pieces and then join them together with apricot jam. If you are using small sponge cakes, simply join them with jam. Cut off the top part of the cake and set it aside—it will be needed later. Fill the cavity with wine, and pour the remaining wine over the entire cake. Refrigerate overnight, occasionally draining the excess wine from the cake. In the morning, replace the reserved cake top. Drizzle with orange juice, sprinkle with sugar, and spread cream over the top with a spoon. Decorate the cake with almonds. Serve immediately. The pastry is ready. Serve at the table.
