
Bread sauce
Description
Perfectly complements meat, poultry, and side dishes. The sauce can be made with milk or low-fat cream. If you enjoy the flavor of dark bread, use it to prepare the sauce. This dish is a great way to give leftover bread a second life. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Prepare the listed ingredients.

Break the bread into pieces and place in a deep container. Pour over milk of any fat content or cream with a fat content of no more than 30%. Let it sit for 5 minutes to soak.

Melt the butter in a cauldron or a non-stick bottomed pot. Slice the peeled onion and fry it in the butter for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown.

Place the bread in a container and add the remaining milk from the bread container. Heat everything for about 3-4 minutes until the milk comes to a boil.

Add salt and ground black pepper. You can add spices and seasonings to taste.

Transfer all the contents of the cauldron into a container for an immersion blender or into a grinder bowl, puree for 2-3 minutes, making sure to break down even the small pieces of bread.
